Spiderwick Chronicles: The Completely Fantastical Edition

Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black have just released a super cool bound-up edition of all five original books in the Spiderwick Chronicles series. The voume clocks in at around 600 pages, but the story text takes up 500 pages. What about that extra 100 pages you ask? Well T and Holly have presented unused sketches, behind-the-scenes stories on the making of the books and lots of other good stuff. It's sort of like a 2 disc special edition DVD. Also included, is an all-star gallery of contemporary illustrators who have created their own take on the Spiderwick world. I was honored to have been included. (I covered my favorite scene in the books, the introduction of Hogsqueal, when he is caged in the woods.)

Look for the book at your local book shop or library. For more info and a sneak-peak, read Tony's blog post about the book.

I can't wait to read these books- and what a fun idea to include all sorts of extras!
