I just finished making YouTubable book trailers for my backlist. (All part of a major rehaul of StudioJJK.com, more on that soon!)
They will all soon be neatly organized on my website, but in the meantime, you can catch all of my trailers at YouTube.com/StudioJJK.

best present ever
This Sunday, my first book turns ten years old. HappyBirthdayAuthor.com unknowingly has given me the most amazing anniversary present ever. Check out "The JJK Reading Experience".
And check out the awesome postcards sent from Mrs. VanRaepenbusch's 2nd graders. They made 50 postcards for me in honor of the postcards I sent to publishers when I was trying to break into publishing. (This is a part of the author study found in the above link.)

calendar boy
When I first mentioned to a friend way back when that I would be featured in a 2009 calendar as Mr. November, her initial thought went to Fuse #8 and her "Hot Men of Children's Literature" series. NO - it's not that kind of calendar. It's Perma-Bound's Author & Illustrator Birthday Calendar. They invited me to illustrate the cover. And yes, they did feature me in the month of November.
I am now officially a calendar boy.
Check out the full calendar here.
(And in case you were wondering, my birthday is on December 22nd, never thought I'd see that printed in a calendar!)

Wall St Journal

A few weeks ago Max for President was featured in the Wall Street Journal. Check it out here!
The article lists some great election themed books, including my personal favorite - Grace for President.
Also, for your YouTube'ing pleasure, a book trailer for Max.
(Also available here for you non-Youtubers.)

MAX FOR PRESIDENT - paperback out today!

Max for President is out in paperback today!
The paperback edition is just like the hardcover, except it's, well - softer and there's that little Dragonfly logo on the cover. Oh - and it costs less money to buy.
Order a copy through your local indie book shop, B&N, or Amazon.
And get ready for the political season to heat up! Perhaps my most favorite review from this book came from The New York Post. Back in 2004, they said, "...Krosoczka offers an example of bipartisanship grown-up politicians would do well to follow."

In the meantime, dear blog readers, I'll be on a bit of a blogvacation in the next few weeks while I enjoy the waning moments of summer. Thank you for reading and I'll see you in September!

Max for President - in paperback

Not too long ago, my editor called to let me know that Random House would be publishing a paperback edition of Max for President to coincide with the next presidential election. But when I received the Fall 2007 catalog, it was nowhere to be found! Huh.
And then it hit me - the presidential election isn't until fall 2008... I guess all of this campaigning has already taken it's toll on me!
