As you may know by now, all of the big book awards have been announced. I was so excited to see so many friends and books I was rooting for on the list. Most exciting for me, was to see Grace Lin's Where the Mountain Meets the Moon listed as a Newbery Honor. A NEWBERY HONOR!!!!

I was ecstatic when I heard the news about Grace winning a Newbery Honor for WHERE THE MOUNTAIN MEETS THE MOON. I am so happy for her.
I'm looking forward to seeing you in March at our reading council's winter dinner. The registration fliers will be mailed out at the end of the week.
