exhibits

I had a great time at the openings of both the Groton Library and New Art Center exhibits the other week. The Groton show is up for one more week and the New Art show will be around for another week or so. If you can't make either show, here are a few pics for ya -

7 Impossible Things Before Breakfast

My new friends over at the 7 Impossible Things Before Breakfast blog just gave an incredible (and thoroughly linkable) interview with me and wrote a glowing write up on me and my work. It is.... here.

A big THANKS to Jules and Eisha for taking the time out to not only write the article, but to give so much props to my books in the first place.

I appropriately read the article/interview while eating breakfast. Or would it have been more appropriate to wait to eat afterward? 7 Impossible Things While Eating Breakfast?

In case you were curious - it was Cheerios and orange juice.....

Thank You, Wisconsin!!! - for real!

I have just received word that I have been honored with the state of Wisconsin's "Golden Archer Award"! Receiving a state award is an incredible feeling, because the awards are voted on by the students themselves. And in the case of The Golden Archer Award, the students also nominate the books in the first place! This year, Punk Farm took the top prize in the primary division.

To all of the teachers and librarians in Wisconsin, everyone on the Golden Archer committee and especially to all of the kids who voted for Punk Farm, a hearty and rocking "THANK YOU, WISCONSIN!!!!!"

got fan mail?

Hello readers! I often get inquiries from schools if they can write letters. While I get some mail through my publisher's and agent's addresses, I wanted to announce that you can send cool letters or pictures to my brand new PO Box. You can send letters to:

Jarrett J. Krosoczka
PO Box 60155
Florence, MA 01062

I will do my best to write back to classrooms when I can. A Self-Addressed-Stamped-Envelope would help a lot, too.

I have so many great pictures and letters from previous years and once I get a little more settled with my big move, I will be posting some here. Who knows! Maybe someday you'll see your drawing!

Super Mario Bros - live!

OK, so I'm on a bit of a kick these days with these live versions of video games.... The idea is inspired, I just wish the filming had been of better quality. Still really cool, though-

Huntsville, Alabama's Great Big Book Bash

G & I had a great weekend last weekend down in Huntsville, Alabama at their Great Big Book Bash! It was a trip to have a whole weekend dedicated to my books. A big thank you to Stephenie Walker and everyone at the library for organizing such great events! More thank yous go out to all of the volunteers, teachers and readers who came out to support me at the GBBB!

Check out some photos of the weekend at my Flickr.com page -flickr.com/photos/studiojjk

Here are some stand out photos. There were many amazing Bagheads on display, but I was really taken by the Robot Baghead! I've never seen a robot Baghead before...

Here's another first - I've never had cheerleaders warm up the crowd for me before! Something to think about for all you authors out there who do a lot of speaking...
